This year we are participating in the Autism Walk as a family. It's something I have always wanted to do and decided this would be the year.
When my brother was diagnosed with autism it was not a very well-known disease. There is a lot more information out there now but sadly that is because it affects so many children. The purpose of the Autism Walk is to raise money so more research can be done. Hopefully someday we will know what causes autism and will be able to prevent it.
